Where are you from?

I grew up in Perth, WA and have lived there for most of my life.

Where did you study?

I studied at Curtin University and have a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, with Honours.

What made you become an OT?

I have always wanted to work with people, specifically in the healthcare setting. When looking through the different career opportunities and courses at school, I came across OT and thought it ticked all the boxes. It wasn’t until I was a support worker, and saw first hand the impact of OT, that I knew that it was exactly what I wanted to do.

Why do you enjoy working with kids?

I love how fun and different each day is when you work with kids. Each kid is so unique, and it is wonderful getting to know them and their families. It is such a privilege to join in on their journey and to support them to reach their goals. They are truly inspiring and resilient, and you learn so much from them.

What made you want to work for Eucalypt OT?

During my studies, I was lucky enough to experience multiple rural placements and it was so rewarding to see the impact we can have when providing regular, accessible services. I have always loved exploring the beautiful towns and landscapes of outback WA, and I am so privileged that with Eucalypt OT I can do both.

Holly’s drive to provide accessible services across rural Australia and her passion for helping new graduates navigate the world of OT is inspiring, and I am so grateful to get to work alongside and learn from her.

What’s your favourite OT resource?

Scooter board and wobble cushion!

What’s your favourite food?

I love everything that goes on a cheeseboard - savoury and sweet!

What's a fun fact people might not know?

I went skydiving over Rottnest Island and I would love to do another jump somewhere new!
